WHOLESALE
Good news! You can now accept ✨wholesale orders✨ directly through your Lyric store.
Enable wholesale purchasing in your store by turning on “Wholesale” in settings, setting your default wholesale discount (e.g., 40%), and minimum (post-discount) order amount (e.g., $500).
This creates a customizable public wholesale page where you can add whatever you’d like to share about your wholesale program requirements. At the bottom of the page, there will be a short form for customers to apply for a wholesale account with you.
Once a wholesale customer applies, you’ll receive an email with their info (contact name, business, website, phone, address, EIN, and an optional message) with a link for you to manage their wholesale status.
Submitting a wholesale inquiry automatically creates a customer profile for the customer. From that profile, you can simply flip a switch to approve them for wholesale.
You can actually turn wholesale pricing on for any customer whether or not they’ve applied to be part of your program.
If you want to see a list of just your wholesale customers, flip the switch in your customer list.
Once you approve them, wholesale customers will receive a notification letting them know they’re approved.
What Wholesale Customers See:
When a customer is logged in with a wholesale account and clicks into a product detail page, they’ll see the regular price crossed out and the wholesale price displayed.
And in case you were wondering…
When a wholesale customer is browsing around the site, retail pricing may be displayed, but when they click into the actual product page, the wholesale price will be displayed. The wholesale price will also be displayed in the cart and at checkout.
Customer carts must meet the wholesale minimum in order for checkout to proceed.
FAQ:
Do store discounts apply to wholesale?
No. Discounts are for retail customers only at this time.
Can you set per-customer wholesale pricing?
Not at this time, but if it’s something you need please let us know and we can make it happen!
Can wholesale customers also buy at the retail price?
At this time, customers who are flagged as wholesale customers can only buy at the wholesale price with the minimum wholesale order. If customers log out and use a different email address they can buy at the retail price.
