The gifting season is suddenly here

It’s been a wild week.

We’ve moved the founder updates to Substack, so you’ll see a new look & feel on these going forward. You can continue to reply directly to these emails, or use the “comment” feature, to share your feedback.
HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE 🎁 🎁 🎁
The best gifts are those that support independent artists and makers. That’s why we’re putting together a Lyric Holiday Gift Guide for the 2024 holiday season. We want to help all of you make the most of the giving spirit over the next couple months.
Starting on November 18, our ace team is going to be curating a list of products from Lyric sellers for inclusion in the Holiday Gift Guide. To participate, you’ll need to finish setting up your Lyric store by following the checklist in your dashboard, and then nominate any of your products that you’d like us to consider.
The Holiday Gift Guide will go live the weekend after Thanksgiving. We’re going to advertise it far and wide, and we’re working with a designer who works with great brands, so you know it’s going to look good.
Nominate your products by 11:59pm Eastern Time on November 17th
If you have any friends who might want to be in the gift guide but who aren’t on Lyric yet, they can apply too; they just need to set up a store on Lyric and nominate products by the deadline.

Favorites ❤️
Customers can favorite your products. We’ve added favorite buttons in a number of places so they’re easier for your customers to find.
Contact Form 📨
Every Lyric site now has a contact form where customers can reach out to you.
Community Updates 🆕
We heard from you that you love the community newsletter updates and wanted them to be more prominent on your sites also. An “Updates” tab in the navigation will now take your customers to an archive of all your community updates. Having these visible on your site will also help with your site’s SEO.
Improvements to Product Tags 🏷️
You can reorder product tags and decide which ones are published in the navigation on your site. We’ve also added an “All products” option to the bottom of the shop menu in the nav bar.
Credits 💸
We’re experimenting with giving out Lyric credits to new customers to help them get excited about buying from the artists and makers in their community. (Note: these come out of our bank account, not yours.) We’ll be running a number of trials with this concept in the weeks ahead.

The next community night is for folks newer to Lyric, though veterans are always welcome!
